Memorial Day Parades in Muskegon County
The following parades are scheduled: Greater Muskegon, 9:00 a.m., Muskegon County Courthouse to Clay Avenue to Hackley Park; Holton, 9:00 a.m., Holton High School to Veteran's Memorial on M-120; Whitehall, 9:30 a.m. Corner of Colby & Elizabeth to World War II Memorial in Covell Park for the "Wreath on Water" Service; Ravenna, 10:00 a.m., American Legion Post 297 to Conklin Street to the river for a gun salute, then to Ravenna Cemetery; Lakeside, 10:30 a.m., Muskegon Veterans' Club to McCracken Street to Lakeside Cemetery; North Muskegon, 10:30 a.m., Gaylord and Horton Roads to Laketon Township Cemetery; Fruitport, 12 Noon, Fruitport Middle School on Pontaluna Road to Third Street to Fruitport Library on Park Street; Twin Lake, 12 Noon, John's Market to Twin Lake Cemetery.

4th of July Parade

Summer Celebration
Muskegon's 11-day music festival featuring a new headlining band each night, midway rides, food, a kick-off parade and fireworks on the 4th of July. Headlining acts sponsored by Miller Lite include ZZ Top (June 24), Emerson Drive and John Rich (June 25), Newsboys, Neon, Civil Twilight, Paper Tongues (June 26), Toby Keith, Randy Houser, Bucky Covington (June 27), Ludacris, Here Come the Mummies (June 28), Foreigner and Styx (June 29), O.A.R., Four Finger Five (June 30), Papa Roach and Chevelle (July 1), B-52's, Tonic, KC & The Sunshine Band (July 2), Candlebox, Default (July 3), Echoes of Pink Floyd, Matt Giraud (July 4). Art in the Park, nestled in historic Hackley Park in downtown Muskegon, draws approximately 180,000 patrons over the three day event. This annual event has over 160 juried artisans showcasing their unique talents. At the Village Craft Market, you will enjoy strolling the streets of historic downtown Muskegon for that special hand crafted item from over 180 exhibitors. Michigan Marketplace brings you a wide variety of "homemade" foods ready for you to take home, everything from specialty spices to the best fudge you've ever had.
