Michigan loves classic cars!
According to AutoInsurance.org, Michigan ranks #6 in their top ten list of "Best States for Classic Car Owners".
Boasting 26 Classic Car Clubs, it’s no surprise Michigan would cruise into the top ten – after all we are the “Motor City” state!
Michigan is proud of her roots in the auto industry and from Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise to smaller local shows, we love showing off restored beauties that display design through the decades. While our "showing off" season may be a little shorter than warmer states, we shine in quantity, quality and enthusiasm. And Muskegon is a classic car lover’s dream!
Visit Muskegon this summer for these weekly - and very special events:
Discover Muskegon Festival

Cruz’in Classic Car Show
Visit picturesque White Lake for the July Cruz’in Classic Car Show. This show allows automobile entries from 1975 and before. Why? Because of the oil embargo and high gas prices of the mid 70's which brought about the end of newly manufactured muscle cars and "cruising in your car just for fun". Enjoy a full day of music, food, and fun, then claim you spot along the main streets of Whitehall and Montague to watch the pre-1975 cars cruise from Funnell Field in Whitehall to downtown Ferry St. in Montague! Some years car entries have topped 400! Then follow the cars to Ferry St. where they will be proudly displayed.
Muskegons Labor Day Cars for Cancer Show and Cruise
During the month of September, the Muskegon's Labor Day Cars For Cancer event raises funds for the Johnson Family Center For Cancer Care - Mercy Health Partners. Cruise on over to the Lakes Mall for a car viewing party, kickoff cruise and Pancake Breakfast.
Cruise-ins at Fricano Place
Cruise-in nights at Fricano's Muskegon Lake take place every Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:00pm during the summer. The classic car show is set up in a shaded, grassy area with a view of Muskegon Lake.
Bring out those beautiful cars, sit back and relax while listening to classic tunes. Make it a true summertime memory with an ice cream treat from the Sweet Shoppe, or grab a hot and delicious pizza from Fricano place.
