Looking for a summer job in Muskegon County where you help visitors experience our lakeshore community?
Visit Muskegon is hiring a part-time Seasonal Tourism Informational Aide for our Convention & Visitors Bureau. This visitor-focused role supports guests by answering questions, sharing local recommendations, and providing information about attractions, lodging, events, and things to do throughout Muskegon County.
- Schedule: 18–24 hours per week
- Saturday shift: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Pay: Begins at $17.03/hour
Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering inquiries in person and by phone, preparing visitor materials, and assisting with group and event-related requests.

Interpretive Staff Member - Lakeshore Museum Center
Love history and engaging with visitors? The Lakeshore Museum Center is hiring Interpretive Staff Members (docents/tour guides) for its Historic Sites, including Hackley & Hume Historic Site, the Fire Barn Museum, and the Scolnik House of the Depression Era. This part-time role (30 hours/week, May–October) lets you lead tours, share Muskegon’s rich history, assist with special events, and provide guests with memorable experiences. Electric Forest Student Staff Program
Looking for hands-on experience in the live entertainment industry? The Electric Forest Student Staff Program offers Michigan college and university students the chance to work behind the scenes at one of the country’s leading music festivals. Participants gain real-world experience in large-scale event operations while building professional connections and resume-ready skills in the entertainment and hospitality industry.
Paid summer positions are available in departments including festival operations, artist relations, publicity and marketing, VIP services, food and beverage check-in, decor administration, and special programming. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in live events, tourism, hospitality careers, marketing, and entertainment industry jobs in Michigan.
